Day 1-Liver Cleanse

I'm excited to be starting my liver cleanse. This cleanse is know to move stones from the liver. For the first 3 days I'm eating just raw fruits and vegetables and drinking 1 quart of fresh pressed apple juice every day. The apple pectin helps to soften stones in the liver and gallbladder. I made this juice with different apples 🍎🍏 , cinnamon and fresh pressed ginger and boy is it delicious! I never thought flushing your liver could taste so good!

Healthy Adventure-Part 3, Dessert

So after dinner at Aqui we went to Sprouts and got some dessert-Mini Vegan Sweet Potato Pies and Organic Kefir Root Beer!

This root beer only has 3 grams of sugar. It has some agave but they also used stevia to sweeten it so that's why it didn't have a lot of sugar.

Anyway, Paul and I had a fun and yummy healthy adventure day! Time to get back on the high vegetable 🥒 meals tomorrow! 

Healthy Adventure-Part 2, Aqui Resaurant

So after eating at The Source, Paul and I sat outside in the sun ☀️ in front of a water 💦 fountain and soaked up some Vitamin D.  What a beautiful day. 

Later we ate at Aqui for dinner. Aqui is an Organic Mexican restaurant down the street from The Source.

We ordered their special-Shrimp Cake with Chicken Enchiladas, and Chicken Taquitos.

These dishes were also really delicious 😋! Boy we we stuffed after all this yummy food today! It feels great to be able to enjoy Mexican food with all organic, non-GMO foods. I'm so happy people are catching on to this healthy movement and creating restaurants with non toxic ingredients. 😎

Healthy Adventure-Part 1, The Source

Today Paul found The Source! This is a plant 🌱 based restaurant in San Jose, CA. They had a bunch of samples of the different juices in front and I felt so alive even just after having a bunch of samples! 

We ordered a couple different things-The Signature Source Juice, Tomato Basil Soup, Cacao & Almond Butter Acai Circle, and Kale Cesar Salad 🥗.

Everything was so delicious!!! Also the manager was really sweet and everyone was so happy and welcoming that worked there. I loved the atmosphere in this place! 

Healthy food can taste soooo good! 

Good Health Starts in your Mouth 👄!

I was on my way to my dentist job and saw this truck!

Good health is definitely related to the mouth especially since it is the beginning of your digestive tract. There is a direct correlation between our overall health and our oral health and vice versa. When we have poor dental hygiene, it can cause problems with health.

PLAQUE 

The more sugar and carbohydrates a person eats the more plaque tends to build on a person's teeth. Flossing gives less of a chance for the bacteria to form plaque. Bacteria in teeth can lead to bacteria in different parts of a person's body's and so on and so forth. 

TOOTH MERIDIANS 

Every tooth has a meridian directly associated with different organs, so when the tooth is not health is can lead to health challenges in the correlated organ. 

 METAL FILLINGS

Metal fillings are also a source of toxicity that can lead to other systemic health challenges such as Alzheimer's. In the process of detoxing, people really should consider replacing those fillings with composite fillings, just make sure that the dentist knows how to properly remove them so the toxic metals do not find themselves back in the blood stream.  

CONCLUSION  

So your smile is much more that those peraly white teeth but a contributer and a reflection of your overal state of health. Keep them clean with all natural oral hygiene products, replace the metal fillings and make sure to floss regularly so plaque and bacteria do not build up! 😁😬

 

 

 

Cooking Fest with Lorraine, Day 2!

This is the second delicious family meal we all enjoyed together. Lorraine cooked most of it but I helped make the sweet potato pie crust (if that even counts! 😆)

This was our dessert and boy was it delicious 😋!!! I can't wait for another sweet potato pie. The crust was made from a gluten free flour from Bob's Red Mill. 

In general, a lot of the foods we enjoy can still be enjoyed while trying to eat clean and healthy. It's just about making sure the ingredients we choose are fresh, organic and foods that our personal body is not allergic to.

Cooking fest with Lorraine, Day 1!

So my future mother-in-law had a bunch of food in her cupboards and freezer she wanted to use so this week, since I have a break from one of my jobs, we are having a cooking fest! 

This day we made a veggie sandwich with a Vegan patty, spicy mustard and, chipotle mayo. We made an absolutely delicious macaroni salad with quinoa noodles, carrots 🥕, onion, celery, Himalayan pink salt, pepper, cayenne and Vegan mayo. And, we served this all with steamed Brussels sprouts and had a family dinner 🍴! We are brining family dinners back in style! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
